About Overgrow
Overgrow (overgrow.io) is a free multiplayer PvP game for web browsers. This page is about the project itself: where it runs, what an account keeps, where the community meets and how to reach us. For the game, start with how to play.
Overgrow is in beta
The title on the menu carries a BETA tag: the game changes often - new gear tiers, 6v6 fights, bots that play more like people and the weekly tournament have all arrived in its first weeks. Every change players can see is listed on the updates page, newest first.
Where it runs
- On overgrow.io, in any modern browser on a computer, phone or tablet - held sideways or upright on a phone.
- On servers in North America (west and east), Europe and Australia. With the server choice on Auto the game measures each region and joins the fastest; the Servers sign on the menu picks one by hand.
- Inside game sites too, such as Overgrow on itch.io - signing in always happens on overgrow.io itself.
Accounts and your data
- No account is needed: PLAY starts you as a guest.
- Signing in with Google or Discord keeps your name, level, skill rating, arena record and skins, on every device.
- Your name can be changed once a week, and anonymous mode in the Account panel hides your name, level, skin and rating from other players.
- What is kept, and why, is in the Privacy Policy; the rules for playing are in the Terms of Service.
Community and contact
The Overgrow Discord server is where news and tournament announcements go out first, and where questions, bug reports and ideas are welcome. It is the way to reach us.
